The GVSU women's soccer team capped off a remarkable 2010 season with a 4-0 win over UC San Diego to capture the programs 2nd DII National Championship. GVSU allowed zero goals against in the NCAA tournament and scored 17 goals for. Jenna Wenglinksi, won the NSCAA DII Player of the Year and also NCAA best defensive player of the tournament. Ashley Botts, named an NSCAA All-American, was given the award of the best offensive player of the tournament.
